All About BlogsBlogs are pages authored by someone with something to say. So they tend to be written in a casual way inviting readers to comeback and comment and hence begin a dialogue. And not too long. There is an automatic link inviting any reader to Comment - Comments are immediately added to your blog for new readers to see. It is expected that you will leave Comments - even those you disagree with - showing. However you get an email headsup and can remove a Comment particularly if it is offensive or graffiti. [Go to the Page Properties form to edit the Comments.] If you blog it is expected that you will keep putting up new and additional material - say weekly. The results are then published in a Most Recent First order. Basically the pages are created like a webpage - but it is usual not to include too many big graphics. Technical Just create a page exactly like a web page. On the Page Properties page tick the Blog box. Give it a name - Not "Blog"! When the site is next published you will see the extra item in the Menu called Blog. This Blog page has the first portion of each blog page and then links to the full page. It also has the RSS icon. You will know it when you see it! If a reader clicks on this a special file (RSS.xml) is displayed by their browser. If in IE7 click on Favourites and Feeds. If you subsequently click on the Feed you can see if there have been new pages added to the blog. In IE7 the feed name will be bold if new content exists. In iE7 you can set how often you want to review the blog. In Mozilla click on Bookmark then Subscribe to this Page then Subscribe Now.
